Fact: Over 85% of ALL new visitors to a web site originate from a major search engine Such as Google, Yahoo, Bing and Ask.com
Hi my name is Woody Short and I am a search engine marketing specialist. I have created and managed numerous successful online search engine marketing campaigns, focusing on ROI-based – performance based search engine marketing for various e-commerce merchants including: Wal-Mart / Sam’s Club, M&M’s World, Ford, GM, 1800hotels and Autobytel.com as well as many others.
I am experienced with GEO targeting and web traffic analysis. I have managed 7 figure annual budgets for multiple Fortune 500 companies as well as smaller budgets for start-ups and medium sized companies. I currently am a Qualified Google Adwords Professional that is specialized in reporting and analysis, as well as a certified Microsoft AdExcellence Professional.
I created this website/blog because I am passionate about search engine marketing and I believe that Search engine marketing is both an art and a science and that search engines are constantly “evolving” and there is no sure fire way to get a top search result as so many SEO experts out there claim.
Many SEO professionals claim that they have a secret method and that they can guarantee a top search result in Google, Yahoo or Bing. Some even guarantee you will be number one in a Google search! Please exercise caution if you plan to hire one of these folks or if you are thinking about implementing any of these so called “SEO expert” methods that they use as you may find your site being penalized or even banned from Google, Yahoo or Bing search results altogether.
It is important to note that Search engines determine their search result listings by relevancy. Websites with content relevant to a searched term or searched phrase will be listed first. There is no magic method that can ever guarantee that you will achieve a number one position in a search result.
There simply is not an easy surefire way to guarantee that your business or website will show up in a Google, Yahoo or Bing number 1 spot. If there was a way to be number one then everyone would be number one. Also it is important to be wary of automated search software as well because Google in particular does not like “automated search submission software” and they do not take kindly to them so it is best to avoid automated search software.
There are many simple search engine practices and techniques that you can implement on your website that can achieve real tangible search results. As this website evolves and if time is willing I will be outlining various search engine optimization techniques and practices as well as providing helpful search engine marketing tools/links and also search engine marketing news and information so check back often for updates.
